Story Time

An anecdote  is a short and amusing or interesting story about a real incident or person. For this post,I'd like to share some of my experiences. I don't know if it's funny or I'm just stupid (Sorry...) sometimes, haha.

CHOCOLATE

One day,my brother is going to take a bath. He was very busy getting the things he needed in the bathroom. I went downstairs and saw a tiny white chocolate bar in the dining table. I eagerly walk and take a bite of the chocolate. But then, I spit it out! You know why? It's not white chocolate, but a tiny bar of oatmeal soap that my brother will use! I don't know why I didn't notice it! So bad for me.

SPRAIN

We were on our last destination in our S.Y. 2011-2012 educational field trip. Our last stop was in Splash Island. We our very excited to enjoy swimming. On that day,I got a sprain several times. When I walk,it was like I am dancing a very weird new kind of a dance step. My friends keep on laughing and imitating my actions.

I don't really have many anecdotes that I can share. Sorry for that. Anecdotes real purpose for me is to share a person's ideas, feelings, opinions, philosophy, joy, etc. Maybe as I grow up,I can share more of my stories that can inspire people.

To Get What You Want

Greed,an excessive desire to possess wealth, goods,or abstract things of value with the intention to keep it for one's self. Sometimes,I don't understand people who are so greedy and envious. A man should be contented on what he have. Many blessings can still come at you, just work hard and be willing and true to earn them. The things here on earth should be equally shared to all. What's the purpose of having lots of money if you won't spend it for the good of others? The things we desire and keep only to ourselves will only be useful to us when we're alive. But what about when we die? We will ask our family to put them together with us in the coffin?

Yeah, greediness really happens to a person in his/her life. We can't avoid to be tempted sometimes. But we can make a change! We can control ourselves. Just have the discipline and determination. Greediness can destroy a person. Once a man becomes so obsess and really do everything he can to get what he wants,it can break him apart. People may not trust you anymore. They will get away from you because they think that you just talk or befriend them to get something you want from them.

In this world, you can't always get what you want. Never do such bad things for the sake of getting things only for yourself. Learn to share what you have and learn to understand and realize that not all the things are necessary for us. Learn that you are not the only person in the world who wants something. You may have a good and nutritious amount of food supply, but others doesn't have. Treasure what you have because all of us are lucky enough to have things that we keep for ourselves that we treasure.

What I Want To Be

Good evening everyone! How was your day? For today,I'd like to share an insight or an opinion of mine regarding taking a career. I am in my third year in highschool now. Next year,I will already be a fourth year highschool student. As of now,me and my classmates are already busy thinking of what course will we take in college and which university would we like to attend. We know that before deciding,we should think very carefully first of our decisions. There's no need to hurry ourselves so much. Here are some factors that a person should consider first regarding what he/she should take in college and what kind of job is applicable to him/her:

1. Interests
Of course, always consider what you loves to do and what is your passion. Your course and your job should be fit with your interests so that you won't have a hard time coping and you can enjoy yourself and the things you do even when busy.

2. Skills and Abilities
Make sure that you can do what work your commitment wants you to do and to be. If you really have the skills, you can easily work and relate to the things you're doing. If not,it can be a very hard time for you. Studying what you need to do can be time consuming so better be ready and be capable of the things assigned to you.

3. Environment
A person can also consider the place where he'll work or study and what benefits it can give him/her. Some may prefer to study and work in a peaceful and organize places. Some may want to be in a fun and crowded place. The things we do and the place we stay also reflects on our personalities.

4. Goals
When studying or working,we always have our goals why we are willing to do  those things. A person who wants to be a doctor, social worker, and a politician wants to help people in need. A retailer or a businessman wants to accommodate and supply the necessities of people. Everyone has his/her reason why he/she wants to do it and that.

5. Will
Once you take a responsibility, you should be willing to do and give all your best to have a great outcome and experience. Be willing to serve. Be willing to study to finish your studies. Be willing to do your duties to be successful.

I Am A S-U-R-V-I-V-O-R

Survival is the struggle to remain alive and living. In this world, they say that it's the survival of the fittest. This is not only applicable to animal kingdoms but also to us human beings. Everyday,we have to get on and survive with our lives. In order for us to survive,we need a shelter,a place we live and keep ourselves from the dangers of the outside world sometimes and a place to create home. We need food. Yeah, maybe a man can survive without food but water only. But,our body needs every nutrients from specific kind of foods that helps us to grow and be immune to sickness. We need clothing to make our selves comfortable and presentable.

Not only we need to survive physically but also our own conscious and inner self. We need to survive spiritually. We should always keep our faith to God and the heaven above. We need to survive socially. Always make it appoint that you have a good social life. We also need people to lean on to for us to survive. We need to survive emotionally. Learn how to control and express your feelings. Don't only confide it to yourself because we can't just handle everything alone.

One more important thing to survive is LOVE. Love yourself and everybody, may it be your close friends and family or not. Can you imagine yourself living alone and without love? Will you be able to survive? No. Survival might seems to be hard. It is part of our life. We also need to think of ways to help ourselves. Learn to be wise and to think rationally. We have a long way to go to survive challenges and hardships in this world.

Trust You And You!

Do you trust and believe in yourself? Do you doubt your decisions and actions? Or,you're very proud and confident of what you are?

One thing you should also know in life is to trust yourself. Maybe other people doesn't appreciate you and the things you have done, but it doesn't mean you have to feel the same way. NEVER be disappointed with yourself. Nobody is perfect. It is very normal for us to make mistakes sometimes. Always think positive and believe in your own capacity to do things. Don't just make others proud, but also yourself. Being successful in a duty is a great reward for a person. In making decisions and in taking actions, follow and do what you believe and think is right and good. Follow what your mind and instincts tell you.

Sometimes,we also should not only rely to our own self. Make it to also hear what the people around you thinks and the ideas they can share to help. No man is an island in all aspects of life. Always remember that as we keep growing up,people will come around us that can be a help to us or not.

Always remember,to see is to believe. Never be afraid to try things out of your own. Self-reliance can make a person more confident and be good in decision making, that we can use for our future. If the Lord believes in us,you can believe in yourself too. Take things not so fast. Believe that by your own, good outcomes can also be made.

PRECIOUS....

For today,I will post a story all about a father and his daughter that will make us realize that we could show our love for someone not only by means of giving gifts and anything can happen as time pass by so fast.

A BOX FULL OF KISSES
Some time ago, a father punished his 3-year-old daughter for wasting a roll of gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and he became infuriated when the little girl tried to decorate a box. Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift to her father the next morning and said, "This is for you, Father." The father was embarrassed by his earlier over reaction, but his anger flared again when he found out the box was empty. Father yelled at his 3-year-old daughter, stating, "Don't you know, when you give someone a present or gift, there is supposed to be something inside?" The little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and cried, "Oh, Father, it's not empty at all. I blew kisses into the box. They're all for you, Father." The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little girl, and he begged for her forgiveness. Only a short time later, an accident took the life of his little girl. It is also told that her father kept that gold box by his bed for many years and, whenever he was discouraged, he would take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of his little girl who had put it there.

This story tells us that anything made of love is already a very great gift. It is not important how costly or beautiful your gifts are as long as you put all your love and effort in it. Material things are for short-term uses only. Use your time wisely because time passes by very fast and many things can happen. Time is gold! Make use of your time efficiently and enjoy life. And also, think before you say something to someone. Words can also hurt us. For the parents, understand your children and avoid being to harsh to your children. Love them with all your heart and guide them to choose the right path for their life's own sake.

PARTY! PARTY! PARTY!!!

Filipino families love to have a feast with the whole family. We celebrate many different occasions here in the Philippines. We are very capable of mingling with other people that we know and not. Filipino families like to reunite with their relatives once in a while. Even though we have problems,we are still fond of smiling because we know that we can solve it and we never lose hope. Filipino families are very hospitable. We welcome everyone in our house when there are parties and celebrations. We always want to make sure that our guests are okay and having fun. And after partying,we make sure that all of our guests are satisfied and give them some food to take home. The Filipino family is very cheerful. The problem of one family member is the problem of the whole family. We show our concern and love. For me,I am proud to be a Filipino and of my family. Family is the greatest thing that God gave to us. Nothing can beat the uniqueness of a Filipino family!
